There are no universal translators in Databridge Translation Agency. Technical texts are translated by technical translators, for projects in medicine translators with medical education are used. Moreover, most translators possess quite a narrow specialty. For example, some of them specialize in translation of documentation for highly complex industrial units, others in telecommunications or medical equipment. If there appears a necessity we invite independent consultants from the fields needed.

During years of work on the basis of standard translation demands and our customers’ requests for translation we worked out our own Style Guide obligatory for maintenance in any project. Thanks to this code we manage to keep invariably high quality and get positive marks in more than 90% test tasks.

The combination of modern CAT Tools (don’t mix up with automatic translation) and quality assurance, one of the most actual things for technical translation, is a certain plus of our company.

The idea of CAT translation and TM technology (Translation Memory) is based on the accumulation of translated segments database and its later use for translation in subsequent projects. Thanks to the TM software we don’t have to translate one and the same sentence or phrase twice, due to what the uniformity of style and terminology is assured even if there are several translators working on the project. Another thing is that due to such technologies translation cost is significantly decreased as payment for repeated or like segments is much lower.

The use of glossaries made by our employees for different spheres of knowledge on the basis of standards and most frequent customers’ demands also promotes keeping the terminological uniformity.
